PARALLEL RACK COMPRESSOR CONTROL

WCC-P7 AND WCC-P16

The Wizard Parallel Rack and Satellite Controller is an all electronic parallel rack control system that can control up to sixteen total compressors or unloaders or satellite compressor based upon suction or temperature. The WCC-P7 can control up to 7 steps and the WCC-P16 can control up to 16 steps. Both are operated entirely by the front control panel. The system is menu-driven and the keypad allows the user to make changes quickly by answering the prompted questions.

Features:

Features:

Compressor/Unloader Staging Methods

Sequential, Round Robin, Combination of Sequential and Round-Robin, Mix Match Unloaders, Compressor 1 Swing, Staging Unloader 1 Swing.

Head Monitoring

The WCC can monitor the head or discharge pressure and alarm on any high pressure readings.

Air Conditioning Mode

Select this option if this control is used for controlling the air conditioning rack.

Mechanical Backup

Mechanical pressure controls can be installed on the rack and operate in either Series Switchback & Parallel Switchback.

Oil Pressure Monitoring

The WCC-Plus can monitor up to seven oil pressure transducers or digital inputs and calculates the pressure differential.

Digital

A signal from an oil control monitor such as a Copeland Centronics is monitored by WCC-Plus.

Receiver Level Monitoring

The WCC-Plus can monitor an analog receiver level sensor or digital float and alarms if the receiver level falls below safe setpoints.

Suction Pressure Reset

The WCC can adjust the suction pressure based upon the satisfaction of the SPR Temperature Sensor.

Satellite Control

The WCC controls the satellite compressor by case temperature setpoint and temperature differential.

Suction Pressure Cut-In/Cut-Out

The WCC-Plus will cycle the compressors using a Cut-In pressure and Cut-Out Pressure instead of a single target pressure.

Monitoring & Alarming

The WCC-Plus monitors and activates alarms based upon user-definable alarm setpoints. These alarms include:

  • Low Suction Pressure
  • Low Head Pressure
  • Low Room Temperature
  • Low Receiver Level
  • High Suction Pressure
  • High Head Pressure
  • High Room Temperature
  • Low Oil Pressure Differential

Variable Speed Drive (Optional)

Add Variable Speed Drive (VSD) to any WCC-Plus and control up to 2 VSD compressors with seperate 4-20mA outputs.

Evaporator/defrost control systems

Evaporator/defrost control systems

industrial refrigeration control wec, wdc, wcpcs, and wtc

The Wizard Industrial Control System was designed to incorporate the functions necessary to control the evaporator of a large refrigerated space into a compact simple-to-install package.

A single WEC can replace the following items:

the following items:

Temperature Control & Alarming

Each Wizard is equipped with a temperature sensor for monitoring and controlling temperature in a refrigerated room. The control monitors alarms both high and low levels each having its own programmed delay. The Wizard can monitor up to three independent temperature sensors for Temperature Control, Coil Temperature, and an Auxiliary Temperature.

Defrost Control

The Wizard is an electronic control and time clock which can operate up to 12 defrost cycles per day with three separate defrost schedules as well as manual defrost. The defrost can be gas, electric, water, or off-time defrost. During a defrost cycle, the Wizard will sequence Solenoids, Valves, Fans & Heaters as required.

Remote Communications & Data Logging

GenCom Communications software allows the computer operator to access and change the Wizard within a facility via a PC connection. The Wizard will record up to 1500 temperature log entries into its internal memory.

Refrigeration Leak Monitoring

The Wizard makes any refrigerated room Code Compliant with the addition of a SHERLOCK Refrigerant Sensor. The Wizard will activate alarms and can isolate the coil should the leake concentration exceed safety levels.

Dual Variable speed control Relay (Fans, Compressors, etc.) is available in special models.

Defrost Termination

A Defrost Cycle can be terminated by: Clicks-On Thermo-disk, Temperature Termination Sensor, Suction Pressure Switch Time.

Shutdown (Standby)

The Wizard can be configured to shutdown the system on a daily schedule during off-season or maintenance periods.

Humidity Control

The Wizard will control a single zone for humidity with an optional Humidity sensor.

Load Shedding/Temp Control Setback

The Wizard System allows the user to change the Temperature Control Setpoint to a higher value in order to reduce energy demand.

Wizard for Special Applications

The Wizard Critical Products Control System (WCPCS) is designed to control the room or zone temperatures and the evaporator operations for critical product refrigerated storage rooms. The WCPCS performs the same functions as the Wizard Evaporator control system. The WCPCS adds a compressor proofing input to ensure starting of the compressor in critical situations.

Dual-FailSafe Redundant Control Operation

When Operating as a control unit in a redundant system (WCPCS-D) two WCPCS controls have the ability to alternate between being the Primary and Secondary control unity and to automatically change over to being the Primary unit when the other control unit has an alarm.

Multiple Zones Controlled by a Single Wizard

The Wizard 4-Zone Evaporator Control System (W2EC & W4EC) will control and monitor the temperature and defrost of up to 4 valve groups in the same room from one main "Master" Wizard control.

Wizard Master & Slave 1 to 3 Zone Evaporator Control System with Leak Detection (WMEC-L, W2EC-L, & W3EC-L) will monitor up to 3 valve groups in one room and adds refrigerant leak detection with the addition of a Sherlock Sensor. Each zone can defrost together or separately depending upon need.

The Wizard Evaporator 2 Liquid Line Control (WEC-2L) has all of the standard features of the WEC but will control 2 seperate liquid line solenoids in one unit. the WEC-2L includes the refrigerant leak monitoring option.

Wizard Temperature Control/Alarm System

Temperature Monitor or Control

The WTC will cycle a sensor specific relay based on a set Temperature and plus/minus differential and will open or close a liquid line solenoid when the temperature reaches the Setpoint minus differential or Alarm.

Temperature Alarming

The WTC will activate the system alarm relay when the temperature sensor reading exceeds or goes below the Temp Alarm Limit for a duration longer than each corresponding Alarm Delay
